Analogous to football's "Two minute drills," where teams aim to maximize plays and time efficiency, utilizing small breaks throughout the day to accomplish tasks can significantly improve workflow. For instance, allocating just a few minutes before the next meeting or errand to tackle a task from a short list can streamline daily activities. Similarly, during longer breaks between work commitments, addressing items from a more comprehensive list can further optimize time management and productivity.

Incorporating these practices into one's routine can effectively maximize available time and enhance overall efficiency. Physically checking things off your list raises dopamine / happy chemicals in your brain. Also, starting one task can just start your motivation to take on another task.

How to use:

  1. Daily or weekly fill out your To Do list;
  2. Identify which tasks go in which column;
  3. Categorize tasks by duration: “quick”, “medium” and “long” ;
  4. Assign a priority to each task so you’ll be able to decide which ones need to be done first;
  5. When you have a break in your day, go to your list and work to complete the first task based on how much time you have;
  6. Make sure to move completed tasks to the Done column;
  7. Once a task is done you can check its “Archive” property to move it to the Archived view, so that you’ll only see on the main view the tasks you didn’t finish yet.
